Motivation - What is the purpose of the event?  Our Alliance Artists work with other area organizations to make a difference in the lives of others, especially our children, by making our community a better place to live.  The area artists use their talents to enliven the events either visually, muscially, or dramatically.  The financial support of the sponsors and the participation of the community contribute to the overall success of these events.

 Holiday Card Contest for Group Homes 

Group Homes for Children held a Holiday Card contest in 2008.  The girls participated in an art workshop where they created their own unique painting of the meaning of Christmas with "their group home" in mind.  Wachovia Bank volunteers led by artist, Susan Pieri guided the girls in the development of thier individual paintings.  The reception was held at the Montgomery Learning Arts facility at the Armory in Montgomery, Alabama.

Lure contest for the Clean Water Partnership

30 Montgomery area artists participated in decorating fiberglass fishing lures to help raise awareness of the importance of keeping our rivers clean.  The boyscouts unveiled the lures at the Alabama Riverfront and the lures traveled to various locations in the Montgomery and Prattville area before being auctioned. 

 Marian Concerts

The Church of the Holy Spirit sponsors Marian Concerts of Hymns and Praise

Musician, Marc Karam, "The Pavarotti of the South", uses his musical talents to praise and worship the Lord with hymns dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  His concerts were sponsored by The Church of the Holy Spirit, in Montgomery, Alabama.
